There are various ways to care for sensitive teeth. Following are some of them.

First, if you have one or more sensitive teeth then instead of waiting for some miracle, you should visit your dentist. Your dentist would be able to find the cause of your sensitive tooth. He would advise you about the best methods to cure sensitive teeth. In most of the cases, dentists fill the sensitive area of tooth with a bonding agent. Dentists may also prescribe some fluoride gel to you for giving you relief from sensitive tooth.

Second, you should brush your teeth in a gentle manner. People who brush their teeth in an aggressive manner are more likely to develop the problem of sensitive teeth. If you have sensitive teeth then you should buy a toothbrush which has very soft bristles. Instead of brushing the teeth horizontally, you should brush them vertically.

Third, people who have sensitive teeth should purchase toothpaste which is especially made for those people who have sensitive teeth. You can also ask your dentist for knowing about such toothpaste. Using normal toothpaste is not good for people having sensitive teeth.

Fourth, people who have sensitive teeth should avoid eating those foods and drinking those liquids which stimulate pain or uneasiness in their sensitive teeth. If you feel pain while eating an ice cream or drinking coffee then you should avoid eating ice cream and drinking coffee. Those foods which make you feel pain in sensitive teeth should be eaten from other side of the mouth.

Fifth, you should ask your dentist about the reason for your sensitive teeth. After knowing the reason, you should work on it. For instance, if your teeth have become sensitive because of teeth grinding then you should consult a doctor for getting rid of this habit.
