Traditional cleaning methods are outdated. They're from a time when we didn't understand how toxic the solutions we used to clear our windows, or our kitchen counters where we make food, really are. While the way we used to get these chores done was effective at killing germs, it also puts abrasive, harsh solutions on the areas we use most. This is bad because you eat there, and because it's harsh on your nice surfaces.

But you can't really do it without these solutions, right? Wrong. With a steam cleaner for hard surfaces you can clean without chemicals, and there are a lot of reasons why you want to.

It's good for the environment. Pouring all these solutions down the drain is definitely not a good thing for the planet, let alone the plastic containers they come in and all the effort it takes to produce the solution and the container. Less stuff is always good environmentally.

Less stuff is also good for your wallet. Yes, you have to buy a steam cleaner in the first place, but once you do you no don't need anything after that.

You simply take the machine, fill it up with water and wait a few minutes for it to get hot enough, and then run the machine over the surfaces. You will probably want to hook on one of the various attachments that come with the machine, like a squeegee for your mirrors or windows, a detail brush, etc, and you'll also want to wipe down the surfaces with a clean cloth so that they're dry and any dirt that's been removed with the machine gets picked up. This requires you to buy nothing else really, and has the advantage of giving you this one light product to carry around the house while you clean.
