Open the folder with the pdu file. Click the "Tools" menu on the top of the window.Select "Folder Options." Access the "View" tab and remove the check in the box next to "Hide extensions for known file types." Click "OK" to close the window.Right-click the pdu file and choose "Rename." Replace pdu with the file you want to convert it to, such as "TXT" or "RTF." Click "Yes" in the warning prompt that appears reading, "If you change a file extension, it might become unusable.
