Sometimes it is absolutely necessary to redecorate

. However unpleasant that might seem to your family, they must admit that when you move in a new home or when your current home needs a new layer of paint someone has to do this job. Many persons are discouraged by the dust, the mess and the temporary necessity to change everyones daily habits.

To solve this problem you will need to make them a part of this project. Once it will be finished everyone will be proud of the good teamwork. Being a part of the project they will ignore the temporary mess. And the idea of change wont scare them so much anymore.

The best way to draw your childrens attention to this project is to ask their opinion on the different paint colors you need to buy. If you allow them to be creative and choose two or three colors for their rooms they will enjoy helping you even more. For those persons who are able to draw, they could fascinate their children by drawing images of their favorite cartoon characters on the walls. These activities, insignificant as they may seem, will bring them on your side.

Assigning responsibilities for every member of the family is another way to get them involved. While one could help you carry the paint and the brushes from the store, others could help you clean or move the furniture. Older children could even be allowed to paint their own rooms according to a set of rules. If you agree to original manifestations allow your younger children to leave impressions of their hands on the walls in different colors than the base color. They will all help you clean the final mess if you are able to convince them that after doing this they will be free to get back to their normal lives.

The idea that paint stinks might make your family members reluctant to participate. But if you buy eco-friendly paint, which doesnt smell at all, everyone will be more eager to help you. A good teamwork will make them proud in the end of the results. Plus your house will look cleaner and rejuvenated.
