How To Fail Your Driving Test!

The driving test is designed to assess the competence of a new driver to find out if the candidates are suitable material to drive independently

. There are a few technicalities to avoid, along with a few common faults that are performed with surprising regularity.

The first, and easiest way to fail your driving test is simply to not take both parts of your provisional driving licence to your test. This will guarantee your failure with minimum effort.

Trying to drive much more carefully and slower than you did on your driving lessons with your driving instructor if your driving school was any good, they will have prepared you to drive in an acceptable manner so change that on the day of your driving test!

The car you use for your driving test must be fully road legal (and the examiner will check as much as reasonably possible) so a simple way of having your test terminated within a few minutes is to arrive at test with a bald tyre, or better 2 bald tyres.

Another failing tip is to NOT have you eyesight tested prior to the test (the best way to check it is to read a number plate from the prescribed distance). If you are unable to read the number plate that you are asked to on the day, you will have your driving test terminated and automatically lose your fee.

Generally your driving school should be able to give you accurate, trustworthy advice (they could well have experienced 100s of driving tests) so to stand the best chance of a failure, take your test BEFORE your driving instructor or driving school say that youre ready.

You could also not take any professional driving lessons, and instead use the opinion of friends of family with no experience of what is required to pass the exam.

Another classic is that when your driving instructor says that you should be ready for your test in approximately 8 weeks agree, book your test for that time, then take no more lessons until that point. This way you could potentially even blame your instructor they did say 8 weeks after all!

Apart from all the tips mentioned above, you could simply do anything that your driving instructor has told you to not to, or not do something that you have been told to do. Whatever you have been taught on your driving lessons should put you in good stead to pass your driving test so ignore as much of it as possible!

I hope you will find this information useful, should you have a couple of hundred pounds free to flush down the DSAs (the Driving Standards Agency) toilet as, if you were to fail, it would be likely to cost a significant amount of money (assuming that you should wish to take it again (the driving lessons to put things right, the next test, the use of the driving school car etc.)!

On the other hand, if you are wanting to pass your driving test as quickly and safely as possible, you may find the Choosy Learner website a valuable resource.

Happy Passing (or failing if you really are that way inclined!)
