The fact that many bookings are done at the last moment has kept demand high and has provided owners with consistent income and they have not had to face the spectre of empty months for any reason. In fact many owners had their properties booked well in advance and that is great endorsement of their popularity.

This demand could not have come at a better time. Recession, along with pay cuts and job losses, has made expensive holidays a dream for many of us. It has also given people owning two homes the opportunity to rent the second one and make some money. They are thus able to pay off their mortgage obligations out of the proceeds of the rental income they get from vacationers and that is a positive development.

Rentals are high even in this recessionary trend and that only means this industry cannot be passed over. It retains its image as a vital and essential player in the travel industry business, netting very sizeable revenues for its owners each year. The UK rental holiday theme is here to stay and is poised to become an indispensable part of the British tourist trade.
