That means that visitors will enter your site with their credit cards in their hands ready to buy, for a blunt choice of words.
Customer Retention
List building is the least thing that should concern you. It is just a means to an end. What matters is retaining those subscribers who are interested in you can do for them so that you can slowly feed information and products to them over time and through the fine art of 'pre selling', they will buy from you. This is one way to build up the loyalty of your prospective buyers. Until they trust you, unfortunately, they will not give you a cent of their hard earned money.
The key to creating an effective list of prospective buyers is to provide your subscribers with resourceful and helpful information and advice that will truly change their lives and their method of thinking. What I recommend is to send them a newsletter every week, fortnight, or month. A newsletter is an informative publication that is sent to your list who have subscribed to your newsletter.
In order to build a valuable list of users who are willing to buy from you, you will first need to set up a mailing list, which there are plenty of services available to do that for you at a very affordable cost.
Give them something for free!
There are a lot of services that will allow you to set up a free mailing list, however you will need to be selective with this process. Many will not allow you to set up an auto responder, and others will not allow you to redirect to other pages after the initial sign up.
One method that is extremely effective is to give the user something for free. Maybe an e-book that you have written or purchased the resell rights for. Sell the e-book to them in much the same fashion as you would an item that you sell for monetary gain, and remember that in a lot of cases, if you sell a freebie, you sell a product.
Don't forget your customer's needs!
The best form of marketing always focuses on what the customer needs and wants, and serves only to serve them, not your pocket. Keep these questions in the back of your head at all times. What do they want from you? Why do they have a need for your services or products? And what is going to be the selling point that converts them?
Whatever you do, keep the following in the back of your mind. You are not marketing for you. You are marketing for your customers.
