Recources to Get a Job in Spain
Local, in Spain based, english newspapers are a great way to get a job in Spain. They won't show up inmediately in search engines when you do a search on "get a job in Spain". You have to be a local to know how to find them.
But before listing them, there's a few things you have to know before you get a job in Spain.
Wages tend to be on the low side. And it doesn't really matter which part of the world you're coming from. When I say low, I mean that what you earn here in Spain is not going to give you a luxurous life in the sence that you will be able to spend a lot of money. The greatest luxury here is that you have sunshine all year round.
If your plan is to get a job in Spain so you can feel as relaxed and chilled out as when you spent your holiday here, you'll be very disappointed. Working in Spain and being on a holiday here is very different. You will deal with stress at your job aside of all the hassle you'll have with moving to another country. In the beginning this will be compensated by the glorious feeling of having made you dream come through but that will pass. When you manage to get a job in Spain, count on getting into an emotional rollercaster. Some of you might not be able to handle that.
Now, it's not my intention to scare you off, I'm just speaking of experience and I want to help you to make the best choices to avoid you seeing your dream turning into a nightmare. And I wouldn't tell you about possible challenges without offering a solution as well.
Ther are 2 ways to make your expat experience a lot, a whole lot easier :
The first one is to get a job in Spain within a company that has it's head offices based your home country. You'll probably get a wage that is far higher then what you would be paid working for a company here. And they might help you with all the practical stuff like housing and paperwork. Just look for big companies that have departments or job openings in Spain.
That is how I first came to Spain, working as a rep in tourism for a belgian tour operator. I was only 21 years old and got paid the triple of the local wages.
Of course, the economy isn't like it used to be back then so you have to keep in mind that you might loose your job because of the spanish department of your company shutting down. I have a friend in Belgiun who was responsible for the spanish costumer service of a company in Belgium. He just lost his job because the company couldn't get any business in Spain anymore. A good choice for you might be to combine a job with the second option to protect yourself.
The second option is, instead of aiming to get a job in Spain, start an online business of your own. You can start this business where you're living right now and as soon as you've built it up and it's producing a good income, you just take your computer and move to Spain. As simple as that. I think this is a great option, in fact, it's what I'm doing to get out of Spain.
Don't get me wrong here. Spain is a great country and I like living here mcuh more then in my home country Belgium. But I'm used to the spanish climate after all these years and still think winters are far to could. And Spain has become too crowded for me too, when I first came to Spain 25 years ago, there was more space and the pace of life was so much slower and relaxed. So now I want to move to some paceful tropical place. And that's why I've started my online business.
Now you want to be careful with this. If you decide this is a good option for you and you start to search on the internet you might loose an lot of precious time. You'll find a zillion opportunities and will be tempted to choose an easy money scheme. I can tell you this : these are a waste of time. There's no such thing as easy money, at least not as easy as they put it.
To have an online business, you have to master internet marketing. And you want to learn this from the best. believe me. If you want to buy a course from some guru that promises you the world and doesn't show his face anymore once you've bought his product, go ahead. I can tell you it's a waste of time and money and you'll only find yourself stuck in the same place, instead of moving to Spain.
So to make your online business succeed and get to live in Spain, you'll need to put in some time and effort and want to have continuous support of top earners in the business.
Can this be done on a part time while you stay on your actual job ?
Yes, it can be done.
And once you're business is up and running, can you manage it and still have plenty of time to enjoy the spanish good life ?
Yes, it can be done.
If you want to see your spanish dream come through by runnig an online business, don't waste any of your precious time and check my business out now. Only, and only if you're really serious about this, click on the following link, fill out your email adress and hit the submit button. Now click
