Getting rid of a double chin requires some effort and hard work

. The first step is to find a diet that works for you and will decrease your overall body fat. Unfortunately, there is no miracle exercise that will make a double chin magically disappear.

The good news is that I can show you a few ways that will help to get rid of your double chin. Basically, a double chin is just extra fat around the neck. If you get rid of that fat, you will also get rid of that double chin. The easiest way to do this is by changing your diet.

While working on losing that double chin, you will also be changing the overall health of your body for the better. A healthy diet and exercise program is the most tried and true way to reduce body extra fat. Unhealthy crash diets typically lead to more weight gain in the end. It might be tough at first, but if you really want to get rid of that double chin, stick to your plan and you will begin to see results.

Dieting should be the first step. Always consult with your doctor before beginning any diet or exercise program. Cutting the majority of fat out of your diet is the biggest step. Instead of eating junk food and munching on whatever is around, start snacking on healthy vegetables.


Your goal should be to stay in the area of 10-14% of calories from fat. The rest of your diet should rely on carbs and protein. Fish, chicken, nuts and beans are great sources of filling protein. Vegetables with every meal are a simple way to fill up on these healthy foods.

Secondly, you will need to get your heart rate up. Daily cardio exercises such as running or walking are critical to losing that double chin. If you are not a fan of running, try rollerblading or swimming. You still get a great cardio workout and your heart rate up. Exercising at least 5 times a week is very important because this is how you will start burning the fat away.

Thirdly, some form of strength training to improve the overall tone of your body should be done. 3 simple exercises that will tone your body are push ups, pull ups and sit ups. Strength training helps increase the amount of fat your body will burn. Down the road, a membership to a gym to start weight lifting will strengthen your muscles even more.

Lastly, in order for you to get rid of your double chin, you must make your goals attainable by setting up some realistic goals and create a workout schedule. The most satisfying result you will find is reaching the goals you set for yourself. Trust yourself, you can do this!
