. This is a well known program where the buyer and the seller, known as the affiliate enter into an agreement, where the affiliate can legally represent the owner of the product and each time he receives an order for the product, he gets a commission.

Affiliate marketing can make an affiliate marketer a lot of money if done correctly but it is not an over night get rich quick scheme by any means. You still have a learning curve to conquer and you must constantly be reading and studying the information found in the forums and such, so that you can further your education about internet marketing.

Affiliate marketing is also a good way for someone new to build up a large opt in list of buyers. By using what's called a squeeze page, you can have a prospect opt into your list first before being sent onto the actual offer that caught their eye. Now you're building a list that you can market to with future products and services.
