His precondition in all circumstances was to appear happy. That was vital.

Even if he was having a bad day he would smile and sometimes whistle a tune, as if he had just won the lottery.

By doing this my friend was making it easy for himself in attracting girls and instantly getting them to like him.

Who do you think most girls are more interested in - a guy who appears miserable or at best unapproachable, or a guy who is happy and who obviously wants to share some of that joy?

Okay, so that is how to get the girls to like you and be more disposed to accept any advances you make. But that's only half the battle. So what else did he do?

This all depended in part on the circumstances. So for example, he might be on the bus, at work, in the pub or bar, in a nightclub, at a sports match or just walking down the street. And each different situation would call for a slightly different approach, even if only in the opening line of what he said.

He always ensured that outright rejection by her was not possible. He would never ask an open ended question - one that can be answered with a "yes" or a "no". His main objective was to get a reaction.

So for example, if he was waiting at a bus stop and there was a good looking girl there too, he might remark that the bus was late (whether it actually was or not), and that it may be because one of the buses had broken down.

If this didn't start a conversation, then he'd say that he really had no idea of why the bus was late but he just thought he'd say that anyway. And he'd smile.

If that still didn't work then he would have to accept that the girl was just not interested at that time. Was he embarrassed? Did he feel rejected?

No, because his attitude was that it was her loss, there were plenty of other girls around, and she hadn't actually rejected anything other than the opportunity to have a little chat.

But if it did work, then he would focus the next part of the conversation on her. He'd remark on how well she wore some item of clothing, how nice her hair looked, or on some other aspect of her appearance, in favourable terms.

This would immediately make her feel good about herself, which should be the number one rule in any "How To" dating guide.

The rest was then very simple. Just treat her like a special person and make her feel good about herself. That's how to get the girls.
