How To Keep A Relationship Last When One Is Of A Different Social Status

Most of you, if not all, have dreams of finding the one person who will complete you. Yoursoulmate -- The person whom you most likely will spend the rest of your life with. How a mushy, girly movie can bring tears to your eyes, especially when the character is reunited with his long lost love and everything, is beautiful. In a perfect world, couples usually meet, fall madly in love with each other and live happily ever after.

In a not so perfect world, however, life is full of conflicts and trials. You always wonder why soap operas and reality TV shows are a hit. It's because they reflect the real world. They convey a message that life is truly difficult and love contributes the most part.

You have heard countless stories regarding love. How a new found love can be exhilarating and exciting, and that a love that is not meant to be are full of lies, despair and doubts. This is especially true for people who are in love with someone their opposite. One has loads of money and the other one has little to get by. One is used to the good life and the other breathes hard work. Below are sometips on keeping a relationship last when one is of a different social status.

1.Examine yourself

You meet. Spend most of your time together. During the course of courtship, money was never an issue. Love is all that matters to both of you. Before going further in thisrelationship, pause for a moment and examine yourself. Is your love for this person able to withstand the conflict of being from two totally different worlds?

Look carefully at the situation. Are you willing to adjust or adapt for the sake of your loved one? It is a given fact that given your situation, you will always be criticized and talked about. Expect the worst from his or her parents and friends. Be sure that you understand your needs and your loved ones'. If, in time, you realized that your love is worth fighting for, then go ahead, indulge yourself. As long as you both love each other and understand your situation, everything will work out alright.

2.Communicate

As your relationship progresses and deepens, issues regarding control and power will surface, whether you like it or not. Money will always be an issue. This will create unwanted tensions and struggles. Due to differences in your financial expectations, it may contribute to further misunderstandings and my further weaken the relationship.

Try to communicate these expectations and come up with a solution. This is particularly important if one person contributes more financially in therelationship. Fights can be frustrating and are usually unexpected. Give yourself time to discuss these conflicts with your loved one. There's nothing that cannot be settled with a good and heartfelt talk.

3.Trust and Respect

It is very important that you trust your partner regarding your material possessions and finances. You must learn to share. You should not doubt your partner, granted that you must know him fully well and had been in the relationship for quite sometime.

Learn to share what you have. You should also show respect and care regarding your partner's possessions. Respect also your partners friends and loved ones. Always remind them that your intentions are clean and be willing to prove it. Through this, mutual love and respect will prevail despite the difference.

It is particularly difficult to keep arelationship last, let alone be confronted with financial and social issues. Remember that love and relationship is a two-way street. Avoid being controlling or being controlled. Compromise and respect each other. Keep in mind that once you decided to fall in love, you should love the person as a whole. No ifs and buts.
