As we know that liver plays important role in human body functioning
. Therefore due to liver ailment we can face serious consequences as it can lead to death also. It has been found that fatty liver is a big concern when it comes for liver ailment. However, about 60% of it can be prevented by preventing obesity, lipids and diabetes. According to studies about one out of five person is affected by liver problem.

1. Its important to take three doses of Hepatitis B vaccine. As it give more than 90% protection against the Hepatitis B virus. On the other hand it contributes to 30% of all cases of liver cirrhosis and 53% of all cases of primary liver cancer globally. Hepatitis B and C are preventable diseases.
2. Checking you weight, blood sugar, cholesterol level and triglycerides is very important. As these condition usually increase the risk of NAFLD(Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Diseases) with may lead to liver cirrhosis in 10 to 15% cases. Therefore fatty liver can be diagnosed by a simple ultrasound test of the liver.
3. Its important to go for simple screening blood test of Hepatitis B and C viruses. Therefore it should be done by the most sensitive assay available which is Nucleic Acid Testing which helps in lowering the risk of spreading of these viruses by blood transfusion. A blood test of liver cancer-alpha-feto protein know as AFP is available and is mainly used along with other imaging techniques of the liver which helps in early diagnosing of liver cancer.
4. Having health lifestyle is good for healthy liver.
Now lets understand things to avoid for healthy liver:-
1. Avoid drinking alcohol in excessive amount. As consuming of alcohol can lead to developing of liver cancer.
2. Avoid eating high amount of junk food. This usually increases the risk of developing NAFLD which is not good for liver.
3. Avoid injecting illicit drugs, as contaminated needles increase the risk of infection which can lead to HIV, Hepatitis B and C.
4. Avoid contact with blood as far as possible as it can also lead to serious liver ailments.
