How To Lose Healthy Weight How Much Exercise You Really Need
We've come to a day and age where people are starting to catch on and realize that the FAD diets just do not work. If you struggle with your weight, then you have probably tried some sort of FAD diet at some point in your life. Since you are here searching for more weight loss advice, it's a safe assumption that the FAD diets you have tried have left you unsuccessful.
That's alright, because there's something you really should know about all of those fly-by-night diet programs, and that is that they don't work. There is not a single person in the world who is able to keep up with the insane demands that they place you on, and if a diet program, exercise program, and/or nutritional program you set out on isn't one that can be maintained for the rest of your life, then it is a failure from the start.
So what is it that you need to do to lose weight and then maintain it for the rest of your life? It is an exercise and nutritional program that can be combined with your normal life in a way that allows you to live your own life the way you want.
So how much exercise is really enough? And how strict does my nutrition really have to be?
When it comes to exercise, it comes down more to quality than quantity. The key to being successful with your exercise program is to incorporate the proper intensity when you do workout. It used to be said that a long and slow walk burned more fat and calories, but now we know that an intense 15 minute workout is much more effective than a moderately intense 30 minute workout. On top of that, you only really need to do that 3 or 4 times per week. Think about it like this; the more intense you are, the less work you actually have to do.
As for your nutritional changes, the key is to make smaller changes that you can maintain on a daily basis. For example, instead of revamping your whole nutritional regimen, try eliminating one bad thing you eat every week. If you have a habit of eating a chocolate bar with your lunch everyday, try taking 1 away per week. Do things like this on a weekly basis and within a few months you'll be eating much better and you will have made the transition in a way that didn't shock your body and leave you craving all of the bad stuff.
