The thoughts of setting up a business to make money can be exciting as well as a bit daunting

But quite often there are many seniors who spend their days alone and not because they don't have family but because their family works or don't live in the area. This can be very distressing for the family because there are many seniors living in their own apartments who are functioning well on their own, however have difficulty getting out and can be lonely.
Most often when it comes to nursing homes or retirement homes there is a committee that plans events but this isn't always the case with the senior living in their own home. You could offer your services to spend time with the senior perhaps take them out, cook a meal for them once in a while or plan some sort of activity. Sometimes just a visit is enough.
Even if you have children this could be good for them as well. You could charge a small fee for this service that the family would probably be more than happy to pay for. This is something you could plan to do three days a week and if you took on three seniors a day spending two hours each with them you would find that you would have a nice little business and certainly providing a most worthy service to the elderly.
Often, these individuals would like to go out just for a walk but really aren't capable of being on their own to do so. By having someone come in such as yourself it still allows them to have a little bit of independency because the service is being paid for and it's not being done for charity.
Along with these ideas you will find there are other ways to make extra money. Don't forget to check out with your local authorities to ensure you do everything legal.
