How To Make Silly Putty

Are you bored at home now? You have nothing to do

, there is nothing to surf on the net, no one is at home except for you and you have no pets to play with? Don't be sad. Life can't be that bad. Let a silly putty brighten your day up!

You can stretch the silly putty to any ridiculous length, throw it to a wall and watch it slowly dropped down when it loses its grip on the wall.

Now before you get all excited, you need to calm down first as you will need to get your hands sticky (it is only the sticky feeling, not the real stickiness that dirties your home) to make the silly putty!

Materials that you will need to get your silly putty just silly:

* 2 parts of Elmer's Glue-All * 1 part of Liquid starch * 1 Container with a secure lid (To store the silly putty) * Food colouring (To change the colour of your silly putty)

Let's start making!

1. Pour the starch over the glue in the container and start mixing. 2. More starch might be needed if the mixture is too sticky. 3. Cover the half done silly putty up and place it in the fridge. 4. Wait for a night. 5. You might need to wait for it to dry up before you can play with it. 6. Your silly putty is done!

Liquid starch can be bought in the laundry aisle of the grocery store if you cannot find it.

Although the silly putty takes quite some time to be made, you can always make more silly putty while waiting for the first silly putty to be done!

Silly putty was made by accident by a man called James Wright. Although he was not a toy maker, he made a fantastic toy for all ages to play with. This silly putty is much more elastic than any rubber ball and can bounce up to 25% higher than them. You can always impress your friends by showing off your new "rubber ball".

Or maybe instead of just playing with the silly putty alone, you can make a few more silly putties to be played together with your friends. Perhaps that sounded a bit harsh on you as you are the one who took the effort to make all those silly putty. Selling them off for a profit might be a better choice.

You no longer need to go to the store to get your silly putty the next time you feel like throwing something at the wall (but will not dirty the wall in the process), or just bouncing them to rid you off your boredom!
