So, you've met someone new and are excited about your first date. You should be. First dates are extremely important. This is when you make or break the impression. Were all on our best behavior on first dates and there's a reason for this. When you meet up with a person for the first time on a romantic basis, there's this need to appear at your very best, to say the smartest things and do the right thing so that you make it to the second date.

If the very first date doesn't go well, there's always the chance that the second and third dates wont happen. So if you really like this new person you've met, you'll want to pull out all the stops and make the first date THE perfect date.

Then again, the first date is when you start to get to know the other person. There's no call to make it a heavy duty date. Something light, easy and casual with a bit of food thrown in should make the perfect first date.

If Denver is where you are at, pick up a bike from a bike sharing station and bike around town. With 850 miles of bike routes and trails, coupled with 300 days of sunshine, you cannot go wrong when you tour the city on a shared bike, or even on two separate bikes. Stop at a quaint little eatery at downtown Denver, and park your bikes to go on a nice long walk around the 16th street mall.

A bit of window-shopping and a nice brisk walk and you'll be ready for some heavenly cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory on 16th Street and Lawrence. This place is moderately priced and best of all, is private and cozy. Getting to know your date when you're flush with endorphins after the bike ride, digging into deliciously decadent cheesecake beats anything else you've tried before.

If cheesecake is not your thing, even with the 30 fabulous flavors of cheesecake they've got there, go in for a burger and fries in a multitude of flavors, starting from Asian, to traditional American to hot Mexican.

If both of you are sports fans, Denver is the place to be in. Take in a game at Nuggets, Rockies or Broncos, all within walking distance of downtown Denver. You can also bike there. There's only one thing that can complement a day of exercise, great food and sports and that is great music. Walk to any live music club in central downtown for your own personal dose of RB, Salsa, Blues Jazz and Rock music.

When you go home at night, hopefully together, you will remember a perfect day that did not cost the earth, but surely made you fall in love with Denver and each other and are on your way to having a great dating relationship. Good luck to you and enjoy a great first date in Denver.
