1. The puck.

2. The player.

In reality, there is only one player playing the game, he is called "the shooter". The people that you see surrounding the table are the betters. They are there to bet as to the result of his throw.

3. The game begins.

The sign that the game is starting when the so-called shooter will roll out the dice and it's the first time of the game. This rolling out of dice is called "come out roll".

4. Playing the game.

a. For the first roll, if the outcome is either an 11 or 7, then the shooter wins automatically. The shooter will keep the dice and will do a come out roll.

b. If the result for the first roll is a 12, 3 or 2, the shooter loses the game. When the shooter loses, it is called "craps". He still keeps the dice and do a come out roll.

c. However, if the result is not an 11, 7, 12, 3 or 2, the puck will be turned around showing white which means the game is on.

d. What will happen is that when the shooter rolls the dice, he will then put the puck to the number that corresponds to the outcome. Say for instance, the outcome is 9. The shooter will then place the puck on the square where it has 9 on it. Then, 9 will now become what we call "point".

e. When the real game is about to start, there will be new set rules. As a better, you the last number you would want to see as the result would be 7. However, if you are the shooter, keep on rolling the dice until such time you will come out roll and the point comes out. If the point does come out right before 7, then you do win. If 7 do appear first, you do lose.
