How To Raise Your Google Pagerank And Lower Your Alexa Rating In A Few Easy Steps.

Google PageRank is a great proven record of how good a website is

. If you have a high PageRank (PR) your website will prosper, since you know that you are recieving high quality visitors and that these visitors mean high quality advertisement money. You can earn a lot of money on a small site if you are lucky.

At the same time, the Alexa rating is actually also a good measurment of how serious and well-visited your website is. A low Alexa number tells your visitors that they are not alone - on the contrary, a low Alexa number means a well-visited site.

So how do you improve your PageRank and decrease your Alexa? Well, there are a few proven ways to do this, and it does not have to cost money.

First I will present the free and most simple ways of getting some PR and good Alexa.

1. Do your SEO homework. Be sure that you have your title and meta-tags in order and that you submit to the major search engines - or at least to Bing and Google. Check back within 1-2 weeks - if the site is not there, resubmit. Do this until the website is actually taken up in the engines. Meanwhile, you can continue down this list:

2. Make a links-page and start submitting your website to directories. Directory sites are good for indexing in Search Engines and can fast prove to become nice little feeder sites too. So you gain double from these sites. Takes some work, but you should easliy be able to submit to 50 or more directory sites within a few hours. Try to do at least 50 sites, 100 if you can and 500 if you are really serious.

3. Now create at least one - preferably two - 450 word articles about your main website theme. Submit the first article to at least 50+ Article websites. This is very good for Search Engines, but may also prove an important visitor factor - especially within the first few weeks.

These three simple steps will probably get you indexed in the Search Engines with a PR of 2 or 3 (at the next update). You should be able to get an Alexa rank of 5 Million, or less. Over a month time or so, you should be able to get at least 500 unique visitors. And this only from a few hours of work.

Now, you of course want to increase your PageRank and decrese your Alexa more than this. However, the next few steps DO cost money - even though it's pretty cheap.

1. Check out GoDaddy and the eBay auctions, selling domain names. Look mostly at .com domains, short domains or anything that says that it has an Alexa rating. Sure, you can look at the PageRank domains too, but usually they are more costly and most are fake. A 20 Million Alexa ranked website is a good deal for $15 and can bring in some nice traffic. With 20-50 of these smaller sites, you have a nice feeder park for your main domain. Buy as many you can afford and keep them updated. Try to follow the theme that they used to carry to keep the visitors.

2. Check out the PageRank domains too - but be careful since many of them are fake. Easiest way to check if the PR is fake or real is to go to Google and type in:

info:www.domainnamehere.com and Google will reply with the REAL websites URL. So if you type in "info:www.a-domain-name.com" and Google replies with "www.another-domain-name.com", then you KNOW that the PR is fake - don't buy it!

If the PR is real and it is 4 or over, then try to be very careful not to harm it. Try to keep the same host (if possible) and try to keep the same site (if possible), or at least the same theme and keywords. Use it as a feeder site to ONE (1) domain of your choice. That domain should get a PR minus 1 less than the domain you just bought (so if PR 5 your domain will become PR 4 pretty soon). PR 4 domains are worth $100 or so, PR 5 $500 and PR 6 are worth a couple of thousands, depending on the quality of the back-links.

3. Another way of getting more visitors is of course payed advertising - like AdWords or similar. Do it if you have something to sell - or are using TONS of CHEAP keywords - otherwise this can quickly become a very expensive habit.

And last - there is another free way of getting tons of traffic. This traffic is pretty useless though, but can prove good to decrease your Alexa number. The traffic I am talking about is AutoSurf sites. Search for AutoSurf and you will soon get thousands of hits. Sign up on a few (autosurfing 6-10 sites at the same time can vastly increase the amount of traffic) and try them out. This is free and can be a neat extra.

Good luck with your traffic and have fun!
