How To Reach From Shirdi To Pune

Shirdi and Pune are two major cities in the state of Maharashtra

. Shirdi is frequented by pilgrims from all over the world for it is the birth place of the great Indian saint, Shri Shirdi Sai Baba. It is one of the most crowded pilgrimage centers in India. Pune is one of the major industrial cities in the state of Maharashtra.

The distance between Shirdi and Pune is about 184 km and takes about 3 hours via road.

A number of trains ply between Shirdi and Pune. Kopergaon, Manmad Junction and Sai Nagar are the main railway stations in Shirdi that provide rail services from Shirdi to Pune. All these trains from Shirdi halt at the Pune Junction railway station. The travel time taken to reach Pune from Shirdi is about 6 to 7 hours via rail.

Since Shirdi does not have an airport, it is not possible to reach Pune from Shirdi via air. But the two cities in Maharashtra are well-connected by excellent roads and railway lines. The most common and feasible way of transportation between the two cities of Shirdi and Pune is by bus. There are regular bus services that range from air-conditioned Volvo buses to ordinary ones, to reach Pune from Shirdi. Though traveling by train is the most economical mode of transportation, traveling by both rail and road are equally convenient and comfortable from Shirdi to Pune.
