If you have been involved with network marketing, you may be familiar with or even own Think and Grow Rich. But, if you do not know this book, Napoleon Hill wrote it, and it was released in 1937. He is known for saying, "Whatever, friend, you can conceive and believe, you can achieve."
The 1st chapter of this book, Napoleon Hill includes 6 steps a person can do to transform a desire into reality. The desire mentioned here is not just wishing or wanting, as many people wish to be wealthy. It is a lot stronger than wishing or wanting, it is an obsession. These are the 6 steps you can take a wish or want and change it to a desire that will change into actuality.
Since the author uses money as the goal, I will stay with money. Any goal can be substituted in for money.
1. Determine the exact quantity of money you desire. Be specific here, do not be general.
2. What do you intend to sacrifice in return for the money you desire? You cannot get something for nothing.
3. Decide on a specific date you anticipate to acquire the money you desire.
4. Design a strategy for pursuing your desire. Start putting it into action, it does not matter if you are not ready.
5. Write out a statement of the money you intend to attain, what you intend to lose for the money, the time limit, and your strategy to attain obtain the amount.
6. Read your statement aloud twice a day, in the morning and night. When you read, start to feel and believe that you are already in possession of the money.
It may be very difficult for you to see yourself in possession of something before you have it in your possession. But, this is where BURNING DESIRE will come to your aid. When your desire turns into an obsession, seeing yourself already obtaining your desire will not be a problem. You want to become so determined that you CONVINCE yourself that you will have it.
DESIRE for money must so saturate you that you can believe that you already in possession of it. Hill calls this "money-conscious".
If you are thinking that this does not work, it may be helpful to know that these six steps were received from Andrew Carnegie and helped him accumulate his wealth. Also, Thomas Edison has approved of these six steps to acquire money, but also for any definite goal.
These 6 steps do not call for hard labor, but you will need imagination. You must realize that all who gain wealth did a certain amount of dreaming, hoping, wishing, DESIRING, and PLANNING before they acquired money.
You must comprehend that you will never reach your goals or acquire wealth until you actually BELIEVE that you will possess it. You will never see riches in your bank acount, until you are able to see it in your imagination first
In life no more is required to aim high in life, to demand abundance and prosperity, than is required to accept misery and poverty.
