How To Stay Stress Free In a Negative Work Zone!
The depression we are in has made it almost impossible to stay stress
free at work. Your company has been laying off people left and right.
You could be next, so you start doing extra work to show your boss
they should keep you. Then they start expecting more work out of you,
and other people are walking all over you to keep their job too.
The Snowball Effect
This starts a snow ball effect with everyone stressing out about
loosing their job. This is when all the negative talk comes out with
people bashing each other. Then the stress, which makes a negative
work zone and almost impossible working conditions.
Everyone is fighting to hang on to a job now days, no matter how bad
it becomes. Most just do not have a choice, if you do have a choice,
then get out now. If not, then learn how to deal with it and become
stress free, your health depends on it.
Evaluate The Situation
One way is to not get sucked up into the negativity. When everyone
else is yelling, it is real easy to get involved and fire back, but
when you do this, you then become part of the problem. Try stepping
back, taking a breath and evaluate the situation. Ask yourself, Is it
worth my health to become involved in? What will it really accomplish,
if I lash out to?
Once you think about these questions and answer them, it may keep
things from getting out of control. The more negativity that is
thrown around, the worse the situation will get. If it does not
involve you then stay out of it, if it does involve you then try
seeing the positive side of the problem and fix it in a calm manner.
Take Breaks
Take breaks when ever you can. Go outside and get some fresh air.
When there is so much negativity in a work zone, it can really take a
toll on your health. You will get sick more often, which will effect
your work capabilities and possibly your job.
If you find your company wants more and more hours out of you, then
take all your breaks you are allowed, including your full hour for
lunch. Do not go in the lunch room, or break room, get completely out
of the whole environment, go outside, even if it is to just sit in
your car.
Stay Focused
Definitely stay out of the politics of things. Stay focused on your
work, and do not get caught up in what everyone else is talking about.
You may feel like everyone is leaving you out, when you do not join
in, but better to be left out of a conversation than a job.
If you feel that you just can no longer deal with a negative work
zone, then start looking for a job else where. You can begin looking
at starting online classes for a different career, which you can do in
the evenings after work. Maybe even an online home business.
There are a lot of other alternatives out there than staying stuck in
a job of stress. I found an online home business, I no longer have to
be in a negative work zone. There is no longer stress in my life. I
knew nothing about having an online home business, so it took me a
while to learn how to market on the internet, but the results far exceed
any toxic work environment there is. Also, with an online marketing
business my family is much happier because I am.
Start searching on the internet for a different field than which you
already work in. Find a stress free work zone, and not only will you
be happier and healthier, so will your family.
