Intrusive thoughts experienced by obsessive compulsive disorder sufferers are very unpleasant to begin with. However, the relief they got through some rituals are usually short lived. In a matter of time those intrusive thoughts will return and the vicious cycle continues.

are known to be of little or no help to cure or stop OCD intrusive thoughts. These drugs can cause side effects such as dry mouth, nausea and drowsiness. They can also make the consumers to be dependent to them. Most of the times they also affect a person's sexual functions.
Since OCD and anxiety disorder is a behavioral condition and not an illness, only a certain specific method of treatment that are known to have the ability to really eliminate all the symptoms quickly and permanently. Drugs and medications can never solve this condition as they are not targeted directly to the actual underlying problem which is the amygdala.
