How To Turn A Hidden Camera Into A Remote Internet Surveillance Camera

The other day a customer called and asked me if there was a way to do remote internet surveillance with a hidden camera

. Seems she was going on vacation and wanted to see what her kids were doing and keep an eye on them and the babysitter. Until recently that wasn't possible.

Like so many advances with technology this is not only possible it is easy and as a bonus not that expensive. This technology gives you unprecedented capabilities to see what is going on when you can't be there-from anywhere there is an internet connection.

Hidden cameras are simply board cameras hidden inside normal office or household items to visually record someone doing something illegal as in a sting or something they shouldn't be doing like kids drinking dad's 15 year old scotch.

First of all pick a hidden camera like the smoke detector, alarm clock, one of three wall clocks, a vanity mirror, desktop speakers, clock radio or mantle clock and many more. Then decide which options you want from color or black and white, wired or wireless, even a high power option that allows an extra 1500 feet on a wireless transmission.

Wireless cameras have a built in transmitter and a free receiver for 1,000 feet of regular transmission.

Then hook it up to a DVR that has internet capability. You need a DVR anyhow to record your video. If you just want to monitor and not record hook it up to your TV to see what is going on when you are not there.

This will give you the capability of recording and viewing from anywhere in the world live on the internet. It can be used for home, office, or business. Watch your vacation home from work, your kids from the office, your spouse from your business, your business while on your dream vacation in Europe, the possibilities are endless.

A hidden camera can be an even better deterrent than a burglar alarm or a security guard. A camera can be used to identify the bad guys catching them red handed indoors or outdoors.
