First, the hair is cleansed using a moisturizing and smoothing shampoo. Concentrate on the scalp when doing. While rinsing, the suds of the hair should penetrate the ends.
Apply conditioner on your hair after removing most of the excess water. Applying too much will result in hair loss and should be avoided. Comb the hair with fingers to avoid any tangles. Using cool water, rinse the hair thoroughly and put it up on a towel.
A leave in conditioner may be applied. Remove the towel after the showering. It should be gently done so as to keep the curls intact. Using the palm of your hand apply a little leave-in conditioner and spread it evenly along the hair.
After applying leave-in conditioner, styling products can be used. A shine serum is applied followed by mousse or gel. Now the curls are scrunched. The volume of the hair depends on scrunching. Attach the diffuser to your hair dryer firmly after detaching the nozzle of the dryer.
Start diffusing the hair until it dries with your head bent over or standing up straight. The former gives extra volume while the latter gives a subtle lift. Scrunch the hair using diffuser. Diffusing the sections of your hair for long time cause curls to be dry and lackluster. Diffusion must be done until the hair dries fully. If needed more shine serum may be applied. It also gives the hair a silky smooth feeling.
