You can easily connect the vent to the exhaust fan yourself. All you need are the right tools and techniques.

First, get into the roof crawl space above your bathroom. If this is not possible, unscrew the exhaust fan from the ceiling and let it dangle freely from its wire connections. Measure the circular vent connection hole on your exhaust fan. Buy an aluminum coil dryer hose as well as two c-clamps that are just a little bigger than the diameter.

Place the c-clamp on the hose and then connect the hose to the exhaust fan vent hole. Tighten the hose on the exhaust fan vent hole by tightening the c-clamp screw.

Look into the exhaust fan hole in the ceiling, find the closest wall outside and then measure the wall height.

Screw the exhaust fan back into the ceiling with the newly installed vent hose connected.

Go outside and measure the wall closest to the exhaust fan vent hose. The measurement should be the same height from where the floor would be in your bathroom to where the ceiling is. Add 6 inches to your measurement to clear 2x4s that might be in the ceiling rafters and mark it with a pencil.

Drill a hole in your siding about 3 inches above your mark (bathroom wall height plus 6 inches). The 3 extra inches is because the standard vent hose diameter is 6 inches. The drill hole will be the center of the vent.

Draw the size of the vent hose, making sure the drilled hole is in the center,

Insert the electrical vertical saw into the drilled hole to cut out a circle.

Reach into the hole, grab the vent hose and pull it through the hole until it is pretty snug.

Place a c-clamp on the hose and connect it (the hose) to the outdoor exhaust vent hole. Tighten the hose to the outdoor exhaust vent hole by tighten the c-clamp screw.

Apply silicone caulk around the hole in the siding on the back of the outdoor exhaust vent.

Push the outdoor exhaust vent in until it is level with your house. Screw in each of the four screws that hold the outdoor exhaust vent to your home.
