These mountain gorillas are an endangered species. This is because of the warring communities at the border of Uganda and its western neighbors. Hunters too have been a big threat to them. As a result, animal permits are very strictly limited in order to preserve the dying species. An early plan is essential if you want to visit this region. A Five day, four night Bwindi visit is what is advised for a potential tourist. This is normally a very luxurious gorilla safari expedition.

On the first day, you arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport in Nairobi Kenya. You are immediately transferred to a hotel in the city where you spend the night. On the second day, you take another flight to entebbe from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. At Entebbe, you are transferred to a hotel of your choice. On the third day after breakfast, you are driven to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Lunch is taken enroute at Kabale. After a ten hour drive, you spend the night at a camp nearby.

On the fourth day, there is an early morning briefing at the national park FOR HOW your trekking day will be. In the evening you get back to the camp and spend the night there. On the fifth day, you return back to Kampala and spend the night in the city. On the sixth day, you are transferred to the airport where you catch a flight back to Kenya. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the city where you stay overnight. On the seventh day, you can take a flight back home.
