How To Wear A Short Scarf?

. Here are some ways on how to wear them. which are as follows: head cover, neck piece, hand bag accessory, and accessory belt.

The use of short scarves is relatively different from the long ones. Since its length limits its functionality, here are some popular ways on how to use them namely:

Head cover

Short scarves are ideal as a head cover and neck accessory. Kelly scarf, named after the actress, Grace Kelly who became a princess of Monaco is a good example of a short scarf. The purpose of this scarf is to protect the hair from pollutants and wind especially during travel. You need to secure a square scarf and fold it diagonally by allowing both ends to meet. Place it on top of the head with the apex pointed backwards and downwards. Bring the tips of the base under the chin and cross until it lies at the shoulders. Gather both ends and secure them anyway you want to.

Neck piece

A small scarf, which is usually a bandanna perfectly fits as a neck accessory. There are three ways to use it namely:

Narrow cravat

Fold it diagonally into half and then into narrow cravat; place it around your neck with ends facing sideways. Secure it by tying the ends while you allow the tips to stick out. This is so simple, yet an elegant way of accentuating your self without having to spend that much.

Open phase

Just like the narrow cravat, fold it diagonally into half. Position the scarf, so that the apex is in front of the chest while, the tips of the base are at the back of the neck. Imagine a bib, which is a piece of cloth used to protect the baby's clothes from soiling while eating. Tie the tips in place and adjust the apex to make it appear asymmetrical.

Scarlet

Scarlet, is a ready-made short scarf, which is 22 inches long. No need for tying since it has already a built-in closure on the scarf itself. With accents on it, just wrap it around your neck and there you go.

Hand bag accessory

Since scarves are so versatile, they can be worn in many ways like a belt, tie, and even as a handbag accessory. Simply tie it over the handle and let the ends hang loosely. By making use of a scarf as part of the bag, it compliments well by using a contrasting color.

Accessory belt

For women with petite figure, a scarf can be transformed into an accessory belt. It can be rolled, twisted or folded into the smallest possible width until it can pass through the hole intended for the belt. Since it is short enough, there is no need to worry as to where to hide the remaining ends.
