How To Write Love Stories For Aspiring Romance Authors

Are you a wannabe writer who is aspiring to be the next top selling romance novelists

? Here are 5 easy steps to how to create the perfect plot for your love stories.

Step 1: The Background Information

Figure out what setting your main characters will be in. Is it out on a beautiful island, in France, or at work? Whatever you choose, the background setting will develop the emotions of your character.

Step 2: Character Development

Develop your characters so that your readers can relate to them. They will vicariously live their lives through your story, or at least want to identify with them. You certainly do not want to make your characters unbelievable!

Step 3: Develop Your Story Line

Divide the book into different sub-plots, where your main character continues to pursue his or her love interest. There should be great emotion from your characters, especially feelings of intense anger, sadness, or love.

Step 4: Write an 'Award Winning' Love Scene

Think about it the chemistry and relationship between the main characters is what the reader is really looking for. These love scenes are what satisfyingly hooks the reader throughout the novel and you can even extend it as the whole plot or even just the sub-plot. Some great ideas to do this include:

Creating tension between the characters by being on opposing forces (e.g. from rival families, if writing about the medieval times)

Captivate your audience to want more by creating close calls for further suspense such as not knowing whether you will ever see the man of your dreams again

The character goes through a dramatic change in their life such as making a difficult choice or something bad happens to them

Use lots of adjectives to describe emotions to heighten the sensations of making love

Step 5: Falling in love

Needless to stay, in any great romance the characters fall in love with each other!
