How much do you know about Glee?
With the second season of Glee well underway, the hit show is reaching new heights of popularity, with new fans tuning in to watch each episode and old ones waiting with bated breath for the next episode to air. But even if you're a devoted Glee fan who's watched every episode, there are still some fun facts and behind-the-scenes moments that might have passed you by.
Some of these are difficult to spot unless you have a keen eye, a copy of the episodes on DVD and a lot of patience, but they can be well worth hunting down to add an extra level of enjoyment to your favourite episodes.
Even with such a strong cast, not everything goes according to plan during production of Glee, and every episode has its fair share of slip-ups and bloopers - some of which have even made their way into the finished product. While most of these tend to consist of performers miraculously changing their wardrobe between takes, others give a glimpse into the world of TV production - as in episode 12 of the first season ('Mattress'), where you can clearly see the marks for the actors to stand on at various points. There are also occasional mistakes by the set decorators, like the misspelled 'Waste Managment' sign in episode 18 ('Laryngitis').
Other errors have more to do with the continuity of characters or the show itself. For instance, Rachel claims to be vegan in the episode 'Rhodes Not Taken,' but she can be seen tucking into a pepperoni pizza in 'Funk.' Of course, she could have just changed her mind. One example that seems at first to be a slip-up actually turns out to be something more, as Sue incorrectly uses the term 'slander' in the episode 'Sectionals' rather than the correct 'libel.' However, she admits the confusion herself in the later episode 'Bad Reputation', showing that either it was included intentionally, or the writers noticed their mistake and covered up for it
If you've missed any of the recent action in the new season of Glee, you can get up to speed with the Glee Season 2 Volume 1 DVD. Even Gleeks who have seen all of the episodes already will want to be able to watch them whenever they can, after all, they'll want to be the first to spot all of the hidden facts and bloopers before anyone else does.
