Approaching a woman is one of those things that seems to stump most guys. You get some guys who avoid approaching a woman at all costs, due to the fear of being rejected or embarassed by a woman. And then you also have guys who approach women in the worst way, coming across as a hopeless wannabe pick up artist and having really random results at best. If you want to be able to attract women, if you want to be able to easily get dates, then you need to know how to approach a woman the right way. It's that simple.

When it comes to approaching women in public, most men end up way off base of what they really should be doing. You have to be aware that approaching a woman out on the street, in a store, or any other public everyday venue is not the same as walking up to a woman in a bar or a nightclub. If you try to walk up to a woman and open a conversation the same way that you would in any of these nightspots, you probably are not going to get very good results at all.

You have to understand that women expect to be approached and hit on when they go out to a club or a bar. They don't expect it when they go to a coffee shop, walking down the street, or entering a boutique. That can be a good thing for you, as long as you do the right things and don't come off like a would be pick up artist.

1) You need to be smiling, a natural smile will do, and appear to be friendly.

Who wants to be approached by a guy with a straight face and aggressive or closed off body language when they are out and about? No one. Especially not a good looking woman who is just out doing her thing. You will get a much warmer and receptive response when you are smiling, have open body language and just come across like a friendly guy looking to make some small talk.

2) You don't want to immediately try talking sexual to a woman out in public.

In a bar, where everyone is feeling loose you can get to the point of talking in a sexual undertone a lot quicker than when you are just out on the street. Just imagine striking up a conversation in a park with a woman and immediately trying to take things sexual with her. She will want to get away from you as soon as possible and she may even break out the can of mace.

3) Leave the conversation with an open end, so that it seems natural to want to continue it later on down the road.

If you meet a woman out in public and you find her attractive and the conversation goes good, it's only natural that you will want to see her again. And if she is getting the same vibe you are, it's only natural that she will want to continue on with the conversation. Leave things a little open ended so it gives a natural excuse to get her phone number, a date, or just to hang out down the road.
