4. Before finalizing the deal, make sure to bring in your own mechanic to inspect
the car for anything you may have missed. A professional mechanic will be able to discover various problems with the make of the car, and not just how the outside looks. If the brakes are worn and not working properly, for example, they can bring this to your attention. If you do come across problems, you may be able to back out of the deal more easily, or talk down the overall price. It is fine to let the seller's mechanic check it over, but make sure to get an outside source, as well, to avoid scams.
