How to configure Windows XP for DHCP

Go to the control panel by clicking start button and then click the settings.

Select the Network connections and click on it. Then move to properties clicking Local area connection

Now you can see the Internet Protocol properties window (TCP/IP), ensure that you select Obtain DNS server Address Automatically and Obtain an IP address automatically. You must also check that All the IP address areas are blank.
