How to Cure a Golf Slice - Follow My Lead and Find Out How I Stopped Slicing
How to cure a golf slice is a question that many golfers ask and very few find an answer to
. Find out now how to cure your golf slice with the least amount of frustration possible. Look I could give you tips beyond tips and tell you that these tips will fix your swing for good. If I told you that I would be lying.
Look, I fixed my swing and stopped slicing but it only happened when I put in the time at the driving range and when I utilized a training aid in conjunction. Fixing your slice is a long process which takes time, effort and patience on your part.
After quitting golf because of my slice, I picked my game back up and worked on my swing for 6 months with going to the driving range 2 and 3 times a week. I hardly ever slice the ball now and I am about 15 strokes better than I was last year at this time. However, it took alot of work.
The track that I took when fixing my swing was working on my grip, my stance and my swing mechanics. The grip is something that you need to get comfortable with and only trial and error will achieve that level of comfort. Try different grips to find what is most comfortable for you.
The stance and how you address the ball will sometimes be the only thing you have to fix. How many times have you aimed left to compensate for your slice only to miss hit it and actually hit it straight. How frustrating is that? It used to happen to me all the time. You can not compensate, you have to learn how to fix your swing instead of compensating.
Swing mechanics will often present the most problems for people. Make sure that you are maintaining a sweeping arch to your swing. The reason why people slice the ball is that they are coming across the golf ball instead of straight on. The ideal way to get both distance and accuracy is to sweep the ball off the tee.
When I first started out I kept it simple, I kept my lead elbow and my wrists straight throughout the swing and I kept the trailing elbow tucked in close to my body. When starting the down swing, my first motion was a pull down motion with my arms while keeping my elbow tucked and lead elbow straight.
Fixing your golf swing does not have to be impossible because if you put in the time you will achieve your goals just as I did.
