They will soon tell you that they do not like to share a room with their twin because they don't like the same things as the other. If your space is too small to accommodate another bedroom then you have to think of some ways that they can each individually express themselves with out clashing with another.

Most boys like bugs so you can create a bug theme in their room that will have them amazed at how many different species there really is. You can start with the ceiling. there are glow-in-the-dark bugs that you can place on the ceiling that will attract their attention. On two of the walls you will want to paint their favorite color, one wall for each of them. Help them to come up with colors that coordinate together so you don't have a room decor that is distracting.

For the ceiling, you want to use a light blue color to resemble a sky. You want the walls to be primary blue and green in color. Your child can also choose these colors or they can choose a color that matches with the rest of the decor. The floor needs to look like the dirt so paint it a light color brown. You will need bugs crawling up the walls.

If you have hardwood flooring down then you can add some area rugs to the floor. You can find several different colors of boys rugs but make sure that they can match the decor in your twins room. Blue or green is a good color to choose. You may be able to find bug rugs to put down on each side of their bed.

Next, you want to place table colors in blue and green on their kids table. You may want to use a gingham color print or another color to add a little bit of a pattern to the room since you are using all solid colors.

Next, have them walk around the back yard and take pictures of bugs they see. This may take a few days in order to get enough pictures for their room but once you have enough, take them to your local store and have them blown up to an 8x10. Then you can hang them in their room at various places on the wall. You just want to hang up about 8 pictures total so try to get each twin to snap four pictures.

You can purchase some bugs from any toy store and wrap twine or blue and green ribbons around them. These ribbons can go around the bedposts and around the headboard so it looks like the bugs are following a trail around their bed.

The bed sheets should be solid colors of blue and green so you don't have too many prints in the room. Mix and match brown, blue, and green by placing a blue fitted sheet on one bed and a green flat sheet. Then reverse it on the other bed.
