To sniff out a fake id from a genuine one, you can adopt the methods given below. Observe the body language, while checking the id, you must not only look into the details of the id, but you should also observe the persons body language. If a person appears to be nervous or in a hurry, there is a chance of him/her carrying a fake id. One of the sure signs of nervousness is sweaty palms. If you shake hands with the person and find a sweaty palm, then maybe start questioning the person further. Examine the facial features, over time, people tend to change their appearance to experiment with their look. This might involve coloring hair, wearing glasses and so on. However the basic bone structure will remain the same. While checking the persons id, you must look carefully at his/her jaw, nose, and eyes and so on. If you observe major changes, then you can infer that the person maybe is carrying a doctored or fake id. Check the validity of the card, a person carrying a fake id card might overlook the fact that every id card contains valid to and from dates. check the validity of the card and notify the person if the card is no longer valid. Some id cards might be duplicate copies given only when the original id is lost. A duplicated id card should be thoroughly examined as there is every chance that it might a tampered example or be a fake id. Ask for other ids, beside the id card presented, a person might have a passport or a credit/debit card. If you still doubt the authenticity of the id card presented, then you can request the person to provide you with some other identity proof like a drivers license, passport, green card, social security number, credit/debit card etc. Ask for their zodiac sign and check for the signature: A person will surely be able to tell you his/her zodiac sign. However if a person is carrying a fake id, he/she may be aware of the birth date on the card, but they might not know the zodiac sign related to it. Also if a person fumbles or pauses excessivley while signing, then you might have reason to believed they are not genuinely the person depicted on the card and therefore maybe using a fake id. If you are still doubted regarding a persons id, then it is better to check with a colleague to verify whether the card is genuine or a fake id.
