How to Fix a BSOD
BSOD, being short for blue screen of death, is an error that appears on a computer running in a Windows environment. It can happen on any versions of windows. The reason why we call it blue screen of death is that the screen turns blue, and the computer encounters a crash that needs a reboot.
A sudden BSOD may annoy you very much when you are scanning some online information or even if you have not saved or finish something you're working. So, how can we do to fix a BSOD?
BSOD could be caused by either external factors or internal factors. These two aspects depend on how to fix a BSOD caused by a broken Windows XP registry.
External factors that could cause a BSOD include viruses and spyware. They can infect your computer, and then destroy its drivers or system files. Thus, when you restart, at the point that an error will occur, the blue screen error will be created.
While internal factors include accidental changes in the installed software registry, damaged hardware components, or someone experimenting with Windows systems settings without really knowing what they are doing.
1. Reboot your PC
Sometimes the blue screen comes out only once and then not again for a second time. In this case, a simple restart is just what you need to resolve the blue screen crash.
On the other hand, if the problem is more regular, you may have to deal with other things.
2. Reset your random access memory (RAM)
RAM is a hardware that is used to save some procedures used in temporary time. If this equipment is not working normally, a computer crash is no doubt produced. So it needs to reset the RAM.
3. Run a registry cleaner
A registry cleaner can remove errors. It can save all the information about the software, applications or drivers that are installed on you PC. Sometimes it may turn bad and hence the so-called BSOD.
