How to Get Back Together With Your Ex - Beware the Rabid Dog Called Desperation

Just as rabies affects the mind, so does desperation. Desperation may remain dormant for years, waiting for the ripe conditions to wreak havoc on your relationships. When feel you desperately want to get back together with your ex, quarantine yourself until the dose of reality can start to work toward getting you back in control of your mind and your emotions and get you back together with your ex.

Avoid being controlled by feelings of desperation. Look for certain triggers. If certain songs make you think of sending books of poetry written in your own blood, stop listening to those songs! If looking at old photos makes you want to pick up the telephone and pour out your heart, give them to a friend until you've gotten back together with your ex. If you see a beautiful person talking on the phone with someone who has the same first initial as your ex and it makes you want to start practicing voodoo, go home and get rid of every device that might be used to contact your ex: phones, laptop, pens, paper, envelopes. If you can't get in touch with your ex, you won't be able to scare them away and desperation will begin to loosen its grip over rational thought.

Another helpful tip to keep in mind is, desperation can make you look crazy, and that will harm your chances of getting back together with your ex. Don't make any false promises or rash proclamations unless you want to be taken advantage of should you get back together with your ex. Don't listen to desperation when it blames you for the breakup. Unless you were dating yourself, it's not solely your fault.

Desperation is about instant results and will say or do anything to get what it wants and when it doesn't happen right away, desperation comes up with even crazier schemes. You need to be sure you know what desperation looks like so you can avoid it and get back together with your ex, where it's okay to be crazy in love.
