Bare-root variety needs to be planted after the frosts and in the warm and workable environment. Whereas, pre-packaged types are bare-root that are sold in a box. They need something around the roots to give the moisture. Container-grown varieties are mostly grown in containers. They are mostly available during the spring time.

Contrary to the common belief, rose planting is not at all difficult. For getting the best results, you need to choose the best planting area and a favorable soil type. Irrespective of the types of rose varieties, the planting method would be almost similar to any other shrub. Choose a place with good drainage, sunlight and good manure as well. Always remember to cut down all dead leaves and decayed shoots. Fertilize your rose plants properly and add good compost or mulch.

Pruning is another very important part of rose planting. It helps in encouraging healthy plants and giving better flowers than you experienced ever before.
