The most important thing that you should do in order for you to have good eyesight is to eat a lot of fruits and vitamins. Preferably, you should eat fruits and vegetables which are rich in vitamin A and beta carotene. These vitamins are vital in maintaining good eyesight.

If you wear contact lenses, avoid wearing them for too long. You should not wear contact lenses for more than 19 hours. Aside from the discomfort that you will experience while wearing contact lenses, it may permanently damage your eyes.

If it is allergy season, it is recommended that you use eye-drops to protect your eyes. This will help your eyes have protection against these allergies. Also, it is recommended that you immediately use eye drops if you feel that your eyes are becoming itchy. But remember that you should not use eye drops on daily basis especially if you do not have allergy because instead of protecting you, it may make your eyes even worse.

When you are going outside the house, consider wearing sunglasses. This is for your eyes to have protection against the harmful UV rays coming from the sun. Do this while you are still young because you might regret it in the future.

Do not look very closely to the computer's monitor for a very long period. If you are not doing anything important, instead of surfing the internet, just give your eyes rest.

Lastly, it is highly advisable that you do not rub your eyes in case that there is something inside it will only make the situation worse.
