It helps to decide on a rough format and then to use it every time, making adjustments as you go along.

Instead, you can write them all at one time and cue them up to go out on certain dates. As you're writing your emails, keep the principles of Web 2.0 marketing in mind. Basically, don't be too sales-y, and talk to your readers as if they're your friends.
