If the day to day events of life begin to take there toll on your face

, body and mind it's time to take some gentle yet effective action. By keeping in mind a few (ok 5!) essential tips you will have those years sliding off faster than you can say nip 'n tuck.

How to look younger without surgery includes the following:

1. Drink water! This is often an overlooked one - but is absolutely vital to a fresh youthful look. Try to drink 8 glasses of filtered water daily. A lack of water could lead to other health problems associated with dehydration and worsens lines and wrinkles on the face.

2. Stay out of the sun and always wear a moisturizer with an SPF of at least 15.


3. Eat your fruit and vegetables. Nutrients, vitamins and fiber in fruits and vegetables are essential to great younger looking skin. All vegetables are healthy, but avocado is very rich in essential amino acids which are great for young looking skin. And fruits and vegetables with good amounts of Vitamin C also keep skin firm.

4. Eat oily fish for great looking skin. Oily fish includes Salmon,Trout, Mackerel, Herring,Sardines,Pilchards, Tuna (fresh only), Anchovies Swordfish to name some.

5. Get enough sleep! This may be the most difficult on the list. But trust me - if you were to get a regular amount of atleast 7 hours a night, you would see a great improvement in your skin tone and under eye bags - which of course could make you look years younger!

6. Stand tall! Poor posture could be adding at least 10 years to your perceived age. Try and balance your weight evenly between both feet and don't slouch.

7. Dress age appropriate. Dressing too young or too old for your age could also be making your look either desperate or out-dated. Try and dress in fitted clothes, wear a variety of colors, and adapt your wardrobe to take on at least a few of the season's latest trends.

However a few key pieces that never go out of fashion include a great fitting pair of jeans, white crisp shirt, fitted blazer or jacket, a stylish raincoat, a pencil skirt (if you're a woman!) and brown leather shoes to suit the occasion.
