Of course there will be room for some concessions, after all you'll want to spend some time with him, just don't drop everything you've always loved in order to be with him day and night.

Keeping your own life going is part of what will relieve a great amount of pressure from him. When he sees that you're not going to completely cling to him every waking moment, he'll relax and will be more open to the idea of committing. And when he starts to wonder if he might not be losing you to this great life you had before, he'll be even quicker to make a move.
