However, there are simple steps you can take to make your pup pee or poop on command so that you do not need to wait anymore. This is a very effective method and all you need to do is keep doing it for 1-2 weeks and before you know it your puppy will pee on command without you having to wait!The method is very simple and the only thing you will need is some treats in your pocket. Go outside where you would take your puppy out to pee. Now, your puppy will start sniffing around and letting you know that he's almost ready to go. Now, this is an important thing you need to remember: pick a phrase that you will use (will serve as a command for you) that will let your dog know that he or she should go.So as your puppy is sniffing around and almost started to pee or poop say something like "get busy" or "go potty". As soon as your puppy starts to go often times people will start praising him "Good dog!" the second he starts. Big mistake! Don't praise your beagle dog until he's completely drained. As soon as the dog finishes his job only then you should praise him and provide a treat.Keep in mind that giving a command such as "hurry up" will probably not be the best. You're standing out in the rain saying "hurry up" and your dog makes a mental note that "hurry up" means "go pee". But that will become a problem when you're telling your kids or husband in the morning to "hurry up" with your dog around. That will create confusion so you definitely want to think about the command before you use it. Also, once you pick your command don't ever change it because it's going to be confusing and you will have to re-train your dog.Every time you bring your beagle out simply repeat the process for a week or two and it's as simple as that! Training is all about stacking up rewards so make sure you keep rewarding your puppy enthusiastically every time he or she goes on command.
