Preventing viruses from getting into your system is always better than being able to remove it on your computer system. It is recommended that you update your anti-virus software so that you will have the latest protection against viruses.

Another thing that you need to do to maintain your computer is to clean the inside of the system unit. To do this, you need to be very careful. You should use compressed air to easily remove dust and other dirt which are hard to remove by dusting. You might also damage the motherboard if you will clean it with either cloth or duster.

Properly turn off the computer to avoid problems. If you just unplug the switch to turn it off, you are actually damaging the computer's motherboard.

Finally, when it comes to your internet activities, be careful when you download files from the internet because you will never know if the file is really clean or not unless you have scanned it with your anti-virus software. Make sure that the website you have downloaded the file from is legitimate.
