As all drivers know, every vehicle comes with an emblem to display its company name. If having your BMW Emblems atop your hood is not your cup of tea, there are ways you can customize your car completely and remove these annoying emblems. Some emblems may actually have to be removed by professionals since they are bolted on and will involve some re-painting. However, there are many car emblems that are just big stickers which can be easily removed by anyone. Step one: Look at your hoods underside and determine if your emblem is permanently bolted on or if it is in fact a sticker. If you see nuts and bolts you are out of luck as far as removing it yourself. Step two: Wash the area around the emblem using warm soapy water to prevent any scratches that can occur during removal. Step three: Loosen up the sticker glue by applying heat with something like a hair dryer. Apply this heat until the emblem becomes pretty warm to your touch. Step four: While continuing to keep it fairly warm, use a spray or tar remover to liberally clean on and around your emblem. Step five: Using a plastic spatula or the like, begin to loosen up the glue bonds. Step six: Remove the emblems from the car completely. Doing this as a slow motion will help the glue pull away much easier and leave less residue to scrub away later. Step seven: Lastly you want to remove any left over glue goo with a goo removal product and a lot of elbow grease. As you can see, if your BMW emblem happens to be a sticker, removing it is a fast and simple process. About the Author:
