While charging the adaptor may become warm just ensure enough ventilation near the charger.
While involved in a physical activity make sure your mp3 player is secured well whether using a belt clip or any other method. Also check that the wire of your earphones has enough slack and does not tangle while you are working out or playing.
Always gently attach the adapter wires or place the device in the dock as force or pressure can cause damage.
