How to Transfer Reseller Account (WHM) to other host

?

There are various ways in which you can transfer the reseller account (WHM) to another host. These are:

Take a backup of all the files in both the server where the reseller account is located and the server where the other host is located. But beforehand check the IP that is freely available in the new server because if there are lesser IPs in the new server then there will be problem.

Also you should keep a backup of the files on the servers. But before you start the migration then reduce the minimum TTL for both the olddomain.com and the newdomain.com to 3600. Before you start the migration process, check whether the website of the domain registrar as well as the management features of the DNS are working fine. The registrar's site is needed to be up when the nameservers information for resellers is needed to be updated.

Then while transferring stop the FTP as well as the Exim process and see that the Cpanels chksrvd process is not restarting them. This will ensure that no data is lost during this transferring. Go to the Service Manager in the Service Configuration tab. Then uncheck the SMTP Server and the FTP server and then click on Save'.

When you are migrating on the new server then enable the Tweak Settings on the new server. For this you need to go the Server Configuration tab and click on Tweak Settings and then add the new domain. If the domain is already registered, then ignore the nameservers that are configured and set the NS line.

However you should uncheck this feature after the migration process is over. Now login to the main WHM on the new server and then go to Transfers and then click on the tab "Copy multiple accounts/packages from another server". Then enter the version of the old remote server type in the WHM version. Now the new server will connect to the old one and then the package and account information will be received from it and displayed in the screen. Then transfer the reseller's packages one by one.

Now scroll down and enter the username of the reseller in the text box and click on the "Select Matching Reseller Accounts" and then click on "Copy".

WHM will then start the migration of the accounts from the old to the new server and after the migration is successfully completed a log report is showed on the screen.
