Your videos will be seen by your followers and they could share it with their friends.

A good example of this is what video bloggers have done.

There is this comedian, Julian Smith, and Ive been following him for a couple months now. I personally watch his videos, theyre pretty funny. But more importantly, he has successfully used online video on social media websites to build a huge following, and drive a lot of traffic to his video blog, which is where he sells shirts to his fans.

First of all, Julians videos are usually exceptionally funny, and when people watch something exceptional, they often share it with others who would be interested. This is known as viral video marketing.

Second, Julian posts videos regularly. He originally would include a call-to-action at the end of his videos telling his viewers to subscribe to his channel for a weekly video, and then a link to his video blog. After a year of posting content religiously, his YouTube channel developed one of the biggest followings built using a social media website yet, by using online video marketing.

You can also use online video marketing to attract traffic from search engines by search-engine-optimizing your website for a specific keyword you want it to be ranked on the search engines for. Then, syndicating videos to a bunch free video sharing websites with a link back to your website. With enough back-links, your website will get ranked on the search engines for your chosen keyword. Any people searching that keyword in search engines could visit your website.

If your website is ranked on the top 10 results of a relevant keyword with a decent amount of monthly searches, youll be getting a lot of qualified visitors who need to be converted into customers.
