How to View Adobe Flash Content Using an Apple iPhone or Apple iPad
With millions of Apple iPhone's and iPad's on the market and even more websites that utilize Adobe's flash media format many people are asking the question how can I view Adobe flash content on my iPad or iPhone. Unfortunately the answer is, you cannot view this content on your iPad or iPhone.
The problem with viewing Adobe flash is not a technical matter as much as it is a cultural decision in a corporate shift that Apple to move away from Adobe technology altogether. Steve Jobs was quoted as saying that Adobe flash was created during the PC and for PCs and mice.
Steve Jobs and the executive staff of Apple feel that flash is a very successful business for Adobe and they can understand and sympathize with Adobe's logic for wanting to push Adobe flash beyond PCs. However the corporate culture and feelings that Apple is that the mobile era unlike the PC era is about utilizing low power devices, touch interfaces and open Web standards. These are all areas where Adobe typically fall short therefore the heads of state of Apple have chosen to avoid Adobe flash in any sort of applications to allow you to view Adobe flash on their devices.
The problem with this logic is that there are millions of websites out there that utilize Adobe flash and a great deal of content that is useful and important to iPhone and iPad owners. It may be possible that a third-party application will become available in an app format and be featured on Apple's app store however until that happens don't expect Apple corporate to be embracing any way for iPhone or I had all owners to pull down the Adobe flash content onto their handhelds.
